Choosing a family lawyer is a very big decision and we certainly don’t take that for granted. I imagine you’re asking yourself, “why this firm?”. Are we the right people to help guide and support you through this journey? Will we be able to understand what you’re going through, empathise with your circumstances, and most importantly, will we help you protect your children and the assets you have worked hard for?
My answer, Absolutely YES. This is our focus and the purpose of our work. We are problem solvers with ethical compasses big hearts and a deep commitment to the people we support. At the same time, we have the experience, resolve and tenacity to ensure you are heard, empowered and represented with the highest level of professionalism.
I’ve practiced solely in Family Law because it’s about families. I work with people. We find solutions and they grow and evolve. For some couples their matter is resolved in a few weeks and for others, it may take a few years. But the most important thing is, whatever this journey holds for you, you won’t be doing it alone. You can trust that our team will be there for you every step of the way.
I have also been in your shoes. I have gone through the divorce process and experienced first-hand the heartbreak, grief, despair, overwhelm and confusion that comes with separation and divorce. My experience has allowed me to better understand my clients and the emotional side of a divorce. I think it’s safe to say, there’s no one better experienced to help you through your divorce than a divorced divorce lawyer. I know how it really feels when you’re alone for the first time, when you can’t kiss your kids goodnight and when you watch the dreams and hopes you had fall short.
But I also know how it feels when you finally can’t ignore that inner voice, reminding you of the reasons why your marriage or your relationship is no longer right for you and no longer in the best interests of your children. I can reassure you that you have the grit and grace to do this! Each day your strength slowly grows towards inner acceptance, and you reach the liberation of realising that you have a whole new future ahead of you - a future you get to choose. A future that holds inner peace and happiness, which is what we all deserve. For me this is the reason I love what I do. I want to help you get to the other side, so you can experience a sense of freedom and optimism for your new life.
